Private Houses

Skåne 2005
This house is situated in Glimminge, not far from Torekov, a classic Swedish summer resort. The neighbourhood is heterogeneous, consisting mostly of vacation houses, many of them converted over the years to permanent housing. The lot is small, but with a direct access to the sea. Only a low stone barrier separates it from the beach. The house has a simple volume with a clear division between the larger social spaces towards the sea and the more intimate spaces and serving areas towards the backside. Large sliding doors dissolve the boundary towards the exterior. The recessed upper floor is surrounded by a sun deck and an astonishing view.
