Private Summer House

The brief was a relaxed summerhouse for this young family of five. The location in the archipelago of Blekinge offers magnificent views of the surrounding waters and farmlands. The foundations of an existing house are reused and establish a strong modulated geometry, against which the softer craftsmanship is balanced. Light and quality materials are used to capture the spirit of a modern summerhouse where the connected in- and outdoor spaces reflect and emphasise simple summer life.
