Bella Sky Hotel
Copenhagen 2011
TEA was assigned the challenge to design 5 restaurants for the new Bella Sky Hotel. Each with their own unique style within the strong geometrical architecture of this dynamic congress hotel designed by 3XN. It's the biggest hotel in Scandinavia with its 814 rooms.
TEA´s aim is to give the visitor an unexpected, intimate and personal experience. A contemporary, yet sophisticated interior is created by the use of organic and authentic materials and a 180sqm living green wall.
All restaurants have their own defined style and character. Interiors are warm, colorful, relaxed, hearty, flexible and witty. The mood and rhythm changes as the day turns into night. As a guest or visitor to the hotel you will always be able to indulge in delicious and freshly cooked meals at all times.
If you want to forget the busy conference atmosphere next door you can walk into the quiet and restful ambience of the library restaurant. Enjoy the locally produced seasonal dishes surrounded by the soft glow of twinkling lights, while relaxing in a classic Danish sofa in an atmosphere with an edge.
Visible from the downstairs entrance hall, the bespoke and eye catching ceiling lamps emphasize the private dining areas with an impressive winery as backdrop. While dining you can follow the show in the open kitchen stage.
If you are looking for a more upbeat experience take the elevator up to the 23rd floor, and enter the Sky Bar and be surprised by the amazing view overlooking the Copenhagen skyline.
The challenge for the TEA design team has been to create a flexible and cool use of the space. You will be energized in the morning with a crisp breakfast and the warm welcoming fireplace feature. The experience turns into an afternoon cappuccino while swinging in a hammock or relaxing on the decked area. Later you are lead into the evening sunset while dining. As night approaches the beat of the music picks up to the night club ambience.
